The TZ-luminaire systems for recessed plaster applications have been awarded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia with the 11th design prize of the State North Rhine-Westphalia 2009 "honourable mention" in the category Universal Home: Product Design. Therefore they were successful in the face of 318 submitted products and concepts. Eligible to participate were companies, designers and architects. It was aimed at providing an evaluation of products, interior fittings or architectures with particular focus on the topic "Universal Home" showing a cross-generation and sensitive design as well as a user-oriented product development for different age and life situations. Special thanks for the creative product idea to the company Schmitz as award winner by Mrs. Christa Thoben - Minister of Economic Affairs and Energy of the State North Rhine-Westphalia.
